Following its commitment to the continuous development of the community of Minaçu, Serra Verde hosted a two day training course on Wound Treatment for Health Professionals in partnership with the Municipal Health Department.
The aim is to enable these professionals to further improve the care they give to patients with acute and chronic injuries , supported by the best and most up-to-date practices in the sector. About one hundred professionals were present, including nurses, nursing technicians from Serra Verde, as well as other professionals from the public sector of the municipality. During the training, all professionals had the opportunity to update their technical and theoretical knowledge on the subject. For Marliane Borges, a nurse and technician who taught the course, important points were reinforced with the students, such as the context of the skin, the reasons for the appearance of a wound – whether it was a disease, a trauma or an accident – for the proper identification of the necessary treatment.
