We are committed to building strong relationships with our local communities, working with our them to generate employment and procurement opportunities in the local community.
Several programs are currently in place to help ensure we deliver a positive economic impact to the economically distressed communities near our operation.
We regularly meet with local communities through technical meetings, share updated information about the company and maintain formal communication channels, to ensure their concerns and suggestions are received and considered. We continue to improve our technical abilities, aligned with international standards and best practice for corporate social responsibility.
We have a specialised team to engage with our community and facilitate feedback on our activities.
We also maintain ongoing partnerships with the Local Government, including by providing training for the Municipal Secretariat employees and have donated an electric generator to the Municipal Hospital. We have also donated solar panels to the local Fire Department and conduct campaigns to promote road safety, for the community and local schools.
We also have continuous partnerships to support the diversification of the local economy, training to local workers and conduct programs to tackle domestic violence and child abuse as well as provide training to teachers and their students on environmental good practices.
