In June 24, we concluded another cycle of the Sustainability Project, a joint initiative by Mineração Serra Verde, Engie, the Education Department, and the Environment Department of Minaçu.
The project, which aims to promote environmental education by strengthening local public policy, mobilized students and teachers for the preservation of water resources. Over the school year, 15 schools participated in this initiative, involving around 3,129 students in educational lectures, dynamic activities, and practical actions aimed at conserving local water resources, especially the Cana Brava and Bonito rivers.
The highlight of the project was the award ceremony, where 10 students were awarded in five different categories.
Additionally, 3 teachers and one principal were recognized for their contribution in guiding and inspiring the students throughout the project.
The ceremony highlighted the progress made and the future challenges in protecting local water resources, demonstrating the transformative impact of education combined with sustainability, shaping not only students but also conscious and responsible citizens for the future of our planet.
Actions like this reflect our commitment to collaborating with local economic development and strengthening regional suppliers.
