The Being Nature Project began with an initiative of the Public Ministry of Goiás, with the purpose of revitalizing and protecting springs.
Since 2014 and in partnership with the Minaçu Department of the Environment and the National Center for Prevention and Combat of Forest Fires (Prevfogo), ENGIE Brazil and Serra Verde have been able to jointly recover 72 springs on the Água Boa River, Córrego Corrente, in the Bonito River basin.
Now, with the objective of recovering 7 more springs around the Cana Brava River in Minaçu in 2023, a new cycle of the Project was launched today. We presented the results of the project to all attendees and registered new volunteer participants, and landowners of the region.With the initiative, more than 3,200 native seedlings of the cerrado have been planted in the regions already restored and more seedlings will now be planted in the vicinity of the Cana Brava River.
