Between the 4th and the 16th of September, Mineração Serra Verde, through its Environmental Education program in partnership with the company Cerradão Serviços Ambientais, planted native species of the Cerrado, in five schools of the city of Minaçu.
About 260 children and teenagers participated and planted native seedlings grown in our nursery, such as Baru, Ipê Amarelo and Cajuzinho do Cerrado. These activities celebrated Cerrado day on the 11th of September, prior toTree Day on the 21st and emphasized the importance of raising awareness about preserving the environment amongst new generations.
