In March, Mineração Serra Verde carried out a series of internal and external initiatives during the month in which International Women’s Day is celebrated. Aiming to promote awareness and discuss the importance of gender equality, the Social Responsibility team held talks and Daily Safety Dialogues with Mineração Serra Verde employees, partner companies, social services, and schools in Minaçu. The “Elas Project” also held a special meeting on the theme “Unconscious Biases for Gender Equality and Equity.”
For this discussion, we welcomed speakers Ana Keli, a Master Engineer at Vale; Priciane Parreira, Operations and Innovation Manager at Alcance Innovation Consulting and Aline Nunes Viana, a postgraduate professor at Puc Minas. The meeting was held both in person and online and was attended by over 65 women from Mineração Serra Verde and partner companies. Additionally, we conducted an internal initiative for the team to honor the female employees: more than 80 recognition messages were sent. These initiatives involved over 1,300 people, including employees and the local community, and were guided by one of our values: equity, as we strive to promote diversity and respect within our teams and where we operate.
