Business ethics at Mineração Serra Verde are upheld on two fronts: internally, through management and corporate communication, and externally via our relationship with the community and stakeholders.

Adherence to our policies and procedures is monitored by committees which operate on the principles of transparency, equity, accountability, and corporate responsibility, and are aligned with the Company’s strategic, financial, and operational objectives. The Committees are:

INTEGRITY PROGRAM

Serra Verde conducts its activities with high ethical standards, aligned with national and international regulations. 

To strengthen its corporate governance, Mineração Serra Verde has established a Compliance and Ethics Program aimed at fostering a culture of integrity and adherence to regulations, which encompasses a range of initiatives.

Office of the Comptroller General: Brazil Pact for Integrity Initiative, 2024  

SVPM became a signatory of the Brazil Integrity Pact, which encourages companies operating in the country to make a voluntary commitment to corporate integrity.

 

 

 

Ethos Institute: Business Pact for Integrity and Against Corruption, 2024

SVPM became a signatory to the Ethos Institute Business Pact for Integrity and Against Corruption, which sets out guidelines for signatory companies to adopt, based on the UN Convention Against Corruption, the UN Global Compact and the OECD guidelines. 

 

SVPM adheres to Women in Mining Brazil, an initiative to increase and strengthen women’s participation in Brazil’s mining industry.

 


CODE OF ETHICS AND CONDUCT

Our Code of Ethitcs and Conduct guides how we work together – it sets clear exppectations, promotes integrity, and helps create a positive and professional environment.

We regularly inform and train our people on key topics – such as anti-bribery and corruption, and other compliance measures – to ensure our standards are understood and upheld.

WHISTLEBLOWER CHANNEL

As part of its Compliance Program, Mineração Serra Verde provides a secure and exclusive whistleblower channel for anyone to report potential violations of the Anti-Corruption and Anti-Bribery Policy, the Code of Ethics and Conduct, internal rules and procedures or applicable laws and regulations.

The Whistleblowing Channel is operated by a third-party company and all complaints are treated confidentially. We encourage employees, business partners and others to use the Whistleblowing Channel. We guarantee the fair treatment of the facts and non-retaliation to anyone who submits a complaint in good faith. To make a complaint, use the following channels:
