The Mining Sector Council (CASMIN), which brings together various segments of the state’s mining production chain to coordinate policies and develop strategies for the sustainable use of Goiás natural underground resources, held a meeting on Monday (03/02) to swear in new members and set the agenda for 2025. Among the new council members is Pedro Burnier, Director of ESG, Strategy, and Corporate Affairs at Serra Verde.
In addition to coordinating policy and strategy for the mining industry, the Council advocates for the sector’s interests, promotes professional training, and encourages the adoption of responsible practices.
Serra Verde’s appointment to the CASMIN council strengthens collaboration and advances sustainable mining in Goiás. We’re excited about the opportunity to support the sector’s sustainable development and face future challenges together.
